Karin Pugh

My name is Karin Pugh. I was born in New York State and grew up in New York and Vermont. I moved to Florida in 1997 with my family (husband, children & mother-in-law). My children are now young adults and my husband and I live in Gainesville, FL.

In 2001, a friend of mine asked me to join her at a doula workshop and my journey to become a midwife began.

I was trained at Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in Gainesville, FL. During that time I attended over 100 births and precepted with a home birth midwife, Birth Center of Gainesville, The Birthing Cottage of Winter Park and Shands at UF. During this process I realized that my heart lay with teenagers and homebirths.

I am now realizing my dream with Toni's Place and Loving Arms.
